## Description

In _Zamby and the Mystical Crystals_ players guide the creature Zamby on his
quest to collect light crystals. It is a top-down puzzle game with 150 levels
with an increasing difficulty. Zamby is moved around using the cursor keys. In
the early levels, he can pick up crystals right away, but in later ones more
strategy is needed. This usually involves boxes that need to be pushed into
the water to form a bridge, or block the view of enemies who shoot Zamby when
he is spotted in a straight line of sight. The levels have different surfaces
and in ice areas boxes will slide until they hit an obstacle. Players can also
undo all of their actions, one step at a time.

The main game mode is called Quest for the Crystals, where the levels are
unlocked progressively. There is also a Kids Adventure with variants of the
basic levels, but made easier for kids. While playing, players can also unlock
Secret Missions with a different approach to solving the puzzles. Finally, the
game also supports Addon Levels released through the developer’s website. The
game also includes a level editor to create custom environments. In an
encyclopaedia, players can unlock entries about the world’s characters. Some
levels have a character called Immanos who provides hints for specific
challenges.
