Wrestling Spirit: Rookie to Legend is another computer game thematically connected with wrestling in the output of Adam Ryland, creator of Extreme Warfare and Total Extreme Wrestling series. Contrary to previous achievements, which were typical sports managers, this time the author attempted to produce a combination of many genres.
The main character of Wrestling Spirit: Rookie to Legend is a young wrestler who takes his first steps in a professional ring and wants to gain fame, wealth and a championship belt. The character created by the player is characterized by a number of attributes that can be developed while playing.
Gameplay is a mix of RPG and sport manager elements. On the one hand, the player has to improve the hero’s skills in order to face increasingly difficult opponents, on the other hand, he has to take care of his interests and even a successful family life.
As befits an American inventory game in the lead role, the Wrestling Spirit: Rookie to Legend offers the opportunity to take part in the ring duels. Unlike many competing productions, however, events are presented in the form of text messages. The hero’s actions are decided by the player by choosing one of the action options.
Wrestling Spirit: Rookie to Legend has a very simple audio-visual setting. The game was created in Visual Basic programming language and is based mainly on the text layer. Graphic elements, including images of wrestlers are only a kind of decorations.
