WRC The Official Game is the official FIA WRC World Rally Championship game, the first mobile version of the popular racing series developed on stationary platforms since 2010. The game was prepared for Bigben Interactive by Firebrand Games studio, with titles such as Fast & Furious: Showdown and Hot Wheels: World’s Best Driver. The title went to the most popular mobile platforms.
In the game we can take part in the full cycle of the 2014 World Rally Championship, consisting of a total of 60 special episodes, played in 13 different locations around the world. Apart from such cult events as the rallies held in Monte Carlo, Sweden, Finland, Portugal, Sardinia, Germany or Great Britain, the game also included the 71st Polish Rally sponsored by Lotos. A total of 18 licensed car models, led by real rally drivers, including top riders such as the Sebastien stallion, were made available to the players. Domestic fans of motorsports, however, the presence of the Robert Kubica / Maciej Szczepaniak crew will certainly be particularly happy.
Despite the fact that we are dealing with a production dedicated to portable devices, the authors of the game did not go to the easy way, offering players a lot of realism of fun. At WRC The Official Game we race on different types of surfaces and in changing weather conditions, and the influence of these factors is noticeable during the game. The creators took care of a realistic model of damage and the need to repair cars between races, for which we have a very limited amount of time, of course. Less skilled drivers will certainly benefit from the popular in racing games option of moving back a few seconds, which allows you to repeat unsuccessful manoeuvres, ended with a crash or serious crash.
WRC The Official Game features high-quality graphics and an intuitive control system using a touch screen or built-in gyroscope. The company also took care to support mobile game controllers and the ability to customize the interface to their own preferences. Admittedly, the production is intended only for playing alone, but the creators have implemented online rankings of players, allowing to compare their achievements with the results of other virtual drivers from all over the world.
