Wobbly Bobbly
Wobbly Bobbly is a matching game where a robot shoots jello cubes at piles
of food, coins and power-ups. Color matching cubes disappear from the field,
while fruit and other items add to a money and points bonus. The robot slides
in a square crane track that occupies most sides of the screen, except the
bottom. The pile rests on a raising platform at the bottom that keeps going up
with the time, reaching towards a black-and-yellow tape. If the cubes rip this
tape, it’s game over.
The player can purchase power-ups that appear on the field on a shop screen
between levels. These power-ups include a bomb that clears a circular area of
objects, and an iron spike that clears a whole row of things. A basket
collects all the fruit from the screen, and a fire extinguisher puts out all
the fires. All these items have to be collected to be used.
The shop also has upgrades, like speed boosts, the cube swap ability and extra
power slots.
Dangerous objects must be removed from the field quickly before they do any
damage. Fires must be put out, poison bottles have to be carefully removed (if
they fall, they break and do damage), and sawblades that fly off after
falling, their impact being fatal.
