Windstorm: The Game for PC is a simple horse-riding game based on the license of Carol Wimmer’s books and their screen adaptations. The game was developed by Aesir Interactive an independent, German studio.
### Plot
Windstorm: The Game is set after the events depicted in the first film and returns to the Kattenbach stud, which was shown in the said picture. The player takes on the role of Mika a girl gifted with an ability to communicate with horses; she managed to become a friend of a stallion by the name of Windstorm it had not been bridled before. The protagonist comes back to Kattenbach for a holiday and restores her relationship with the stallion.
### Mechanics
Windstorm: The Game for PC follows into the footsteps of similar titles. However, instead of typical sporting challenges, the player is given an opportunity to explore quite a large game world. One also gets familiar with more facts from the story of the protagonist than in the original screen adaptation. The player experiences all of this while travelling in the saddle of the titular Windstorm, jumping over obstacles and completing various quests. Caring for the health and well being of the horse is an important part of the game, and it was brought in the form of simple mini-games.
### Technical aspects
Windstorm: The Game for PC uses three-dimensional visuals, offering scrupulously recreated locations from the film and the book series. The original soundtrack was included, what constitutes an additional treat.
