## About This Content
Manchuria 1945 describes the major Soviet offensive on Japanese occupied
Manchuria in 1945. The Red Army must capture as much of the Japanese-
controlled Asian mainland as possible before Japan agrees to surrender to the
Americans. The Japanese player must try to prevent this at all costs.
Manchuria 1945 is played in 22 turns, each representing a half-day between
August 9 and 21, 1945. The first player represents the three main fronts of
the Soviet Union in the Far East, and the second player represents the
Japanese army in Kwantung and its weak vassals in Manchukuo and Mengjiang.
* The Soviet side has impressive forces (air force, armor, artillery…) and the support of Mongolian troops, but is fighting against time, because if Japan surrenders to the Americans too early, the conquests of the Red Army in Asia will not be possible afterwards.
* The Japanese player has scattered and unstable units with which he must contain the enemy, the time to negotiate his surrender to the Westerners.
The event cards will allow to renew the games by a set of varied diplomatic,
military, political or economic fluctuations
