## Description
_Vogelstein 2D_ is an almost top-down shooter, shown through a bird’s-eye
view and set during World War II. The game is inspired by Wolfenstein 3D and
uses many of that game’s mechanics, items, enemies and art. It consists of ten
levels were an imprisoned James Bond-like resistance spy needs to shoot
enemies and collect treasure to find the level exit to escape castle
Vogelstein. There are three difficulty levels, three types of guns, and a
melee attack. Red potions are used to restore health while defeated enemies
leave behind ammo. The levels also have secret areas.
The Android version is controlled through touch screen controls with a virtual
movement pad on the left and an area on the right to shoot. Aiming is done
automatically. At the bottom one of the three weapons can be tapped to equip
it. This version is free but requires an internet connection as it displays
localized in-game ads, though never during combat. The J2ME version is not
free but does not have ads. It has controls through the device’s keys.
