VFR Real Scenery: South East England
South East England is the first volume in the VFR Real Scenery series for
Flight Simulator X. VFR (Visual Flight Rules) refers to the way real pilots
navigate when they do not have complex instruments aboard the aircraft – it is
based on looking at maps and then pinpointing landmarks to determine the
position. This add-on simulates the scenery of England and Wales with similar
precision, with landsmarks such as buildings, streets, bridges, rivers and
lakes.
This package covers all of Greater London, Kent, East Sussex, Essex, Suffolk,
Norfolk, Cambridgeshire and parts of Hertfordshire, Bedfordshire,
Buckinghamshire, Lincolnshire, Surrey and West Sussex, and its principal
towns. The sources are 25cm digital aerial images from GeoPerspectives
displayed at 1m per pixel resolution in FSX. It also includes 9.6m mesh
terrain data to make the default relief realistic. There are water effects to
land seaplanes and night textures.
