The second instalment in the Tomb Raider series invites you to join Lara as she travels around the globe to retrieve a precious artefact before it falls into the wrong hands. The legendary artefact, the Dagger of Xian, is said to give its possessor the power of a fire breathing dragon.

Adventuress Lara Croft is back, and this time after the mysterious Dagger of Xian. Thought to have powers of the dragon, The Dagger of Xian is wanted by two people: Lara Croft and mob boss Marco Bartoli. Lara, of course, wants the dagger to add to her collection. Bartoli on the other hand wants the dagger for its power. Lara must race through Tibet, Venice, and even in a sunken ship to get to the Dagger of Xian before Bartoli does.

Game Analysis | The story of Tomb Raider II surrounds the mythical Dagger of Xian, a weapon which was used by an Emperor of China to command his army. By plunging the weapon into its owner's heart, the weapon has the power to turn its bearer into a dragon. A flashback reveals that the last battle which was fought with the Dagger ended in defeat when the warrior monks of Tibet succeeded in removing the knife from the Emperor's heart. The Dagger was then returned to its resting place within the Great Wall. | |
