Time of Defiance is a massively multiplayer online real time strategy game.
The game takes place on Nespanona, a shattered planet consisting of thousands
of islands. Each player has its own empire with control of one island. They
then have to explore and conquer as large part of the game world as possible.
As in other strategy games, resources must be gathered, to build vehicles that
are used to defend the home island and scout the world. Diplomacy can also be
used when the player don’t want to use his guns to solve a conflict.

The big difference from other strategy games is the scope of the game. Each
game can go on for a month, and be played by hundreds of players. Therefore
the game will go on even when you’re away from the computer. For that reason
it’s important to build defenses that protects your empire while you’re away.
