The Sims Carnival: Bumper Blast
Loosely based on the Sims, Bumper Blast asks the player to tag as many of
the Sims as possible in each level. This is done by hitting a same-colored Sim
with the ball, which also causes all nearby Sims of the same color to be
tagged as well, and the Sim that was hit to move. If all bumpers of the same
color are tagged, they turn into completed Sim Bumpers, which reflect shots
instead of catching them. Each level has a maximum number of shots. While not
all Sims need to be tagged, tagging most of them will earn bronze, silver, and
gold medals, with a diamond if the player manages to tag every last one.
Levels can feature blockers, which need to be hit once or more to disappear,
boosts, which change the way the ball works, portals, which teleport shots and
Sims, undecided Sims, which need a nearby Sim to be hit before they turn into
regular Sims, and more. There are 120 levels in all, which can be replayed at
any time to get a higher score, or tag more Sims. There’s also a quick-play
mode, which lets the player replay levels with unlimited shots, or try levels
that aren’t in the campaign mode.
