The Settlers: Traditions Edition is another installment in a strategy game series originated in early 1990s by Blue Byte Software. Because of huge similarity between this title and The Settlers II: 10th Anniversary the game is more of a remake of the original The Settlers II with grain of innovations implemented by Funatics Development.
Traditions Edition gives you control over one of three factions: the Egyptians, the Scotts and the Bavarians. Each one, let alone appearance, is unique from others when it comes to resources used, logistics and strength of their army. Each nation has a series of missions to accomplish in order to prove gods that humans are worthy of organizing the Olympic Games. Humans were denied this right after the moody deities decided that Earth-dwellers already have too much privileges. Therefore, all the mighty nations try to impress the gods as a military and economic empire.
The developers of The Settlers: Traditions Edition took care of a variety of locations, including deserts, highlands and ice-covered areas. In these places you can fight solo against AI (three difficulty levels) or compete with friends thanks to a pack of mini-games included in the online mode.
