The Pimps is a browser strategy game by Bigpoint, maintained in Bronx-like climates. More than 200 cities in the United States are available to the player, each of which is divided into 300 districts owned by players.
Seriousness (measured in virtual Pimp Points) is the main objective of The Pimps. Its level increases with the increase in the number of clubs and establishments taken over or established by the player, the people working for him, and the actions performed. The employment of prostitutes, construction of public houses, production of drugs, rental of warehouses, as well as cooperation with other nations (e.g. Colombians) are also respected.
With the help of their narcotic companions, the player attacks other OG (Original Gangster) districts and steals them from any kind of illegal substances or simply takes over the locations they govern. With the loss, however, he loses the respect he gained and the helpers. The latter can recover by performing special tasks – the so-called Fight for Honor. Every GI that wants to take part in them pledges its most developed district and fights for a similar loot offered by its rival.
The existing districts can be expanded to bring as much income and Pimp Points as possible. However, quality must be given priority over quantity. Bigger profits will be brought by extensive clubs, public houses, warehouses, drug factories maintained in just a few districts than those with low-level units located in several places.
