Travel by train through a dying world. Look after your passengers, keep your train operational, and make sure you can always reach the next station. Make your way through swarms of infected at each station. Explore mysterious and abandoned stations looking for supplies and survivors. This is The Final Station.
But it’s not quite over for you… at least, not yet. And now that you’ve got thousands of tonnes of locomotive at your disposal, you’ve got the definite advantage over the infected hordes. This is The Final Station.
The real question is whether or not you’ll help the survivors get to their destinations…. or let them die and loot their bodies. Sometimes people can be more trouble than they’re worth.
The Final Station Key Features:
1, A post-apocalyptic adventure about travelling a dying world on a train
2, A story that goes through 5 chapters, with large inhabited stations at the end of each one.
3, Infected are ready to stop your progress whenever you exit the train to look for supplies
4, Maintain your train in operating condition and craft valuable items from the resources you scavenge
5, Don’t expect to shoot your way through the crowds of infected. Supplies and ammo are very limited
6, Pick up survivors along the way, gaining perks (and hindrances) for your troubles
7, Scavenge for loot at stations and craft useful supplies
8, Sell your loot at inhabited stations for useful upgrades to your weapons
The world is over.
But it’s not quite over for you… at least, not yet. And now that you’ve acquired thousands of tonnes of locomotive, ready at your disposal, ready to take you as far down the tracks as you have fuel to feed it — you’ve got the definite advantage over the infected hordes.
The real question is whether or not you’ll bring survivors on-board with you, or leave them out there to fend for themselves. Sometimes people can be more trouble than they’re worth.

Game Analysis | The Final Station is a very simplistic looking game and will run on just about any hardware from the last 10 years. The official word from developer Do My Best is a 'toaster' will do just fine. The Final Station is a side-scrolling indie survival adventure set aboard a speeding train. Players must travel from station to station attempting to keep their passengers alive while swarms of infected attempt to board. | |

A short story about a train driver during an apocolyptic event. You basically stop the train at a series of locations and find supplies and the code to let the train through. The storytelling is very subtle and a lot is left for you to figure out. There are some cool dark vignette type side stories.
I really liked the look of the game. Not the best pixel art ever but still good with a dark aesthetic that along with the sound desgin created a foreboding mood throughout.
It takes about 4 hours or so and isnt challenging gameplay wise so I’d reccomend buying it if you want a short quite minimalist apocolyptic horror story.
