Wrathstone is the title of a small expansion to the MMORPG titled The Elder Scrolls Online; its premiere was preceded by the debut of a major expansion named Elsweyr. The authors of the vanilla version of the game and the other expansions, i.e. the ZeniMax Online Studios team, are responsible for developing this DLC.
### Plot
The Elder Scrolls Online: Wrathstone is an introduction to a story named the Season of the Dragon of which The Elder Scrolls Online: Elsweyr is also a part, as well as two subsequent DLCs. The task of the players is to acquire two parts of the titular tablet (Wrathstone Tablet), hidden by the Dwemer centuries ago.
### Mechanics
The Elder Scrolls Online: Wrathstone introduces two new dungeons. The first of these is filled with traps and controlled by the goblins of Frostvault in Eastmarch. The second one, Depths of Malatar, can be found in the sunken ruins of Garlas Malatar, and access to the tablet stored within is guarded by the worshippers of Meridia. The dungeons are designed for groups of four, and the challenges ahead can be tackled both in a standard mode and in a variant prepared for veterans. In addition, the expansion described above also provides an arsenal of previously unavailable equipment.
### Technical aspects
Wrathstone is not a standalone expansion, so it requires the basic version of the game in order to run. The expansion does not influence the audio-visual layer of the game.
