## Description
Eighteen year old Emma has just finished school and gets a job as an office
gofer at the Rosemond Valley Post. The editor-in-chief asks her to do some
research on a famous daughter of Rosemond Valley: the Hollywood actress Kit
Grace, who is visiting the town and is staying in the Grand Hotel. Emma
discovers soon that Kit Grace isn’t her real name, and that a relative of her
is still living in Rosemond Valley.
She also learns about a unsolved jewel robbery that happened some twenty years
ago. Jack Griffin, a former janitor of the Rosemond Valley Museum, was
convicted for the robbery, but the jewels were never found. The arresting
officer Captain Parker disappeared shortly after the trial. Emma becomes
involved when a stranger is leaving notes about the robbery.
During her quest Emma will discover the secret past of Kit Grace and she will
wonder if Kit is somehow connected to the robbery. But there are various other
suspects, including her co-workers at the newspaper, and Emma has to reveal a
lot of secrets before she is able to solve the mystery.
