Swap Cops is an unusual turn-based strategy released on Android. The production is a continuation of the Swap Heroes series and was developed by Savory Games, the same band that was behind the previous parts. The project uses a free model with micropayments.
### Story
Swap Cops abandons the fantasy realities known from previous editions in favour of science-fiction climates. The action is set in the near future. The player takes command of a group of law enforcement officers armed with futuristic gadgets, who are forced to face dangerous technology criminals.
### Mechanics
As in the original, the game is mainly about fighting turn-based battles with ever more powerful waves of enemies. Of course, the most characteristic element of the series, i.e. the unusual combat system, in which the player introduces one change in the team setting before each subsequent round (e.g. moving to the first line a character who was in the previous action at the back), has not been abandoned. Then, on the basis of the formation obtained in this way, our subordinates carry out attacks on their own and defend themselves against enemies.
Contrary to appearances, this simplicity and automation does not make the game easy at all. Characters have many unique skills, which is why their position plays a key role. Moreover, we cannot afford any loss of human life and the death of even one policeman forces us to repeat the battle.
The key importance of character skills makes one of the most important elements of fun is recruiting new law enforcement officers. A total of twelve characters with unique abilities can be found in Swap Cops.
### Game modes
Swap Cops offers single player mode only. There are no traditional multiplayer options and the only way to compete with other users is to compare results using constantly updated online rankings.
