Star Trek: The Original Series – Who Wants To Be A Millionaire is a special extension to Who Wants To Be A Millionaire? Special Edition, entirely dedicated to the original TV series Star Trek, broadcasted in 1966-1969. Like the other representatives of the series, the title created by Dublesix studio reproduces in virtual conditions the course of the teletournament known in Poland under the name Milonerzy. Players take on the role of participants of the game, the rules of which do not differ from what we can see on TV screens.
Our task is to provide the correct answers to the test questions checking the knowledge. During the game we have at our disposal three classic lifebuoys, i.e. hints and tips that can lead us to the correct solution of the question. The first is the rejection of two of the four proposed answers, the second is the opportunity to ask the virtual audience in the studio for clues about the problem we are trying to solve, and the third is the opportunity to talk to a friend who can clarify our possible doubts. The creators have prepared over 600 questions of various difficulty levels, ranging from exceptionally easy ones, which will be answered by the majority of people who have even a brief contact with Star Trek, to those who will cause problems even the biggest fans of this series.
In addition to the singleleplayer mode, the game also offers the possibility of having fun together for up to four people. Unfortunately, multiplayer mode does not support online gameplay, only local gameplay at one console. The title also has an online scoreboard on which we compare our achievements with the achievements of the greatest starter professionals.
The virtual tele-tournament studio was built in such a way that it resembles as closely as possible the bridge of the Enterprise ship. Players can choose from four thematic avatars that they will use while playing: a black lieutenant Uhury, a Volcanic officer, a federal cadet and a green alien from Orion. Producers also made sure that during the tournament we were accompanied by music and sounds well known from the small screen.
