Combinations from obtained by destroying three of the same colored mine in a row enable your ship to employ flares, shield, speed boosts, altitudes boosts, and energy repulse blast waves to defend against the mines. Unstable energy orbs will explode when destroyed causing severe altitude losses. Energy orbs normally provide additional altitude.
