Spike the hedgehog and his girlfriend have been separated by the evil Lord
Javah-to. The player must guide Spike through 4 different worlds (Farm, Cave,
Underwater and Castle), each sub-divided into several levels. On each level,
stars must be collected while avoiding the numerous obstacles and enemies. The
door to the next level is activated once all the stars have been collected.

With its tile-based movement, moving obstacles to dodge and patrolling enemies
to avoid, the whole game is reminiscent of the classic game Frogger.
