## Description
_Sometimes: Success Requires Sacrifice_ is an action/puzzle game. The goal of
the game is to take the character to the exit of a series of mazes. Each stage
consists of a maze completely dark except for where the player starts. The
character is controlled with the keyboard and can move in any of eight
directions. As the room is completely dark, players can’t see where they’re
leading the character; the only way of getting additional light is to die:
when the character dies, a ghost will remain where the death happened,
lightning that area. Players can commit suicide to light their way through the
mazes, at cost of returning to the start of the maze and adding one death to a
counter. Later stages offer perils such as stationary and moving blades and
Grim Reaper characters that attack the player by homing in on the character.
Besides the Classic mode, the game also features some other modes:
* Endless: in this mode, instead of a maze the character is put in a field and has to collect medals. The only obstacles around are trees and when the character reaches the end of the screen it is transported to the other side of it. The goal is to collect all medals with the least number of deaths.
* Trust Fall: in this mode the character is cast into an infinite dark pit and the player has to avoid the blades that appear during the fall. With only one chance, the goal is to fall the greater distance possible without dying.
* Chips: this mode is similar to Pac-Man. The character must collect chips in a dark maze while avoiding red blobby creatures roaming around. The creatures can only be seen by the red shadow they cast over the shining chips.
