Solitaire City Deluxe
Solitaire City is a collection of solitaire games played against the clock
for points. The faster you complete a game, the higher your score. It has been
a shareware venture for Peter Wiseman since it was first released in 1997.
Solitaire City is different to other solitaire collections due to its timed
scoring system. Replayability is added for players by trying to shave a few
seconds off the best times to see their name in lights on top of one of the
many high score tables. In addition to personal high score tables for each
solitaire game, the Windows and Pocket PC versions also automatically download
Weekly and All Time Great tables from the internet allowing players to compete
against the best solitaire players from around the world. If you end up on one
of the worldwide high score tables then you get to see your country’s flag
waving next to your name and score.
Solitaire City is fully customizable from the sound effects and music to
the background and card graphics. You can even download a free cardset design
tool called Solitaire Setty and turn your jpeg collection into a Solitaire
City cardset.
