Shuta is a Single, Multiplayer & Co-Op game
**Shuta is an online multiplayer strategy shooter heavily inspired by SUPERHOT and Toribash.**
What surprised me the most when I played SUPERHOT for the first time is how it takes shooter games to the next level. It effectively turns a fast-paced genre into a slow yet action-packed game where you have to think of new strategies to win, not just shoot around.
#MAKEITSUPERHOT was an opportunity for me to think about new barriers to break in video gaming. I first thought about making an online version of SUPERHOT, but realised the time-shifting mechanic wouldn’t work as well as it does in the original single-player game. I then remembered Toribash, another innovative game that consists in strategy/physics-based fighting.
I asked myself if we could merge those mechanics together, and thus I made this little prototype called Shuta over the week.
Shuta is a shooter that essentially consists in taking advantage of turn-based mechanics to plan your actions and defeat your opponents. For now, it is multiplayer-only. Single-player against AIs will be implemented in a future update.

Warning, this is my first online game ever, there’s probably a lot of bugs left. I did my best to fix the ones I found, but if the game or the server ever crashes (couldn’t connect to server), please ping me on Twitter @Ulydev and I’ll get it back up ASAP. Thanks for reading!
