## Description
_Shiokaze no Kieru Umi ni_ ( 潮風の消える海に) is visual novel romance adventure game
with explicit adult content. Initially released for PC (Windows) in a
downloadable and retail version, four years later the game got a port to PSP
platform, but not as a PSP game but as an UMD Video title to be able to retain
all the adult content while being rated as a movie instead of a game. Unlike
PSP games which are region free, the PSP version is treated as a movie and is
region locked accordingly. As such, the UMD Video game version can be played
on any UMD video player, which just so happens to be the PlayStation Portable
device itself. While the PC version features save and load options, the UMD
version uses passwords to continue game progress from a specific point.
The story opens in Yokohama with the protagonist, Susumu Miyachi, staring
blankly at the sea and departing ships. By a chance you meet Kousuke Toujou,
and start a conversation with her, which eventually brings forth the idea of
renovating a submerged yacht. Saying how you’d like to pull out the sunken
yacht, renovate it by yourself and sail to unknown places, Susumu gets
attracted by your crazy talk and decides to help you with the plan. In your
endeavor two more people join the team, Mishio Enokida and Rikako Tsuiki. And
thus you and the three girls start working on a plan together, meanwhile
overcoming various troubles and deepening bonds of friendship and maybe
something more.
Unlike in many other romantic visual novels, you don’t have choices and the
story takes a very linear course. Gameplay, however, is not much different
from a regular visual novel style containing all the regular commands such as
auto continue option, skip text, message logs and such. Both protagonist and
heroines feature full voice-acting in this game. Background art also features
different images for different time of day (e.g. morning, evening).
