Even today, older players still recall the 1982 skill game entitled Choplifter, in which the main role was played by a two-dimensional, powerfully armed helicopter. Thanks to the German company Frogster Interactive, the work with more than twenty years of experience has finally gained its heir.

Our western neighbors have created a project called S.R.A.C.S., which is a position that by definition guarantees great, arcade entertainment. In this game we are given the opportunity to sit at the helm of one of three different helicopters, whose purpose is to perform 40 dangerous missions taking place in such regions of the world as North Korea, Colombia or Bosnia.

The game takes place both during the day and after dusk. In clashes with enemies scattered on three-dimensional maps, we need numerous power-ups, collected during the game, such as special weapons, afterburners, etc., which can be used in the course of the game. Our targets include overground vehicles, submarines, military bases and other objects belonging to opponents. The creators of S.R.A.C.S. tried to make their product equally attractive both for veterans of flying in virtual spaces, as well as for less experienced individuals who are just getting to know the arcane of heavenly travels. A substitute for realism here is the fact that the vehicle we drive has to replenish the fuel reserves on an ongoing basis in order not to complete the task prematurely, landing in the heart of the jungle or on the roof of an office building belonging to an opponent.

In technical terms, S.R.A.C.S. offers a visuals rich in dynamic shadows, blurs and other effects using the Pixel Shader 2.0 service. In addition, the game provides support for a wide range of controllers, from the keyboard to the complex joysticks.
