Re-Volt 2 is a continuation of the classic racing game from 1999, in which we participate in the crazy struggles of remote-controlled cars. Contrary to the title, however, we are not dealing here with a completely new game, but rather an improved and tuned version of the original, which in 2012 also found its way to mobile platforms. Korean WeGo Interactive studio is responsible for reeditions of both games.
In the game, we take control of miniature models of vehicles, controlled by radio waves, and take part in a series of races, located in different locations of a fictional town. Among them there will be such unusual places as various theme parks, a museum and even a supermarket. The routes prepared by the creators were mostly taken from the original, but thanks to their different variants and several different modes of play, we received a total of more than 260 stages with different characteristics and other goals to achieve.
Players have at their disposal dozens of cars, divided into 4 classes: racing cars, sports cars, off-roads and monster trucks. They differ not only in appearance, but also in performance such as speed, acceleration, grip and stability. As the game progresses, however, we can improve the individual models, thus improving their parameters. The driving model used in the game is purely dexterity, and during races we can also collect bonuses scattered along the routes, providing temporary performance improvement or weapons, allowing you to eliminate your rivals.
Re-Volt 2 boasts improved physics and tuned audio-visual setting, which is heavier than the original PC from years ago. The game is distributed in a free-to-play model, using as many as three different currencies, which we can supplement by paying with real money.
