Rayman Golf
When Rayman is not saving the world, or bowling, you can find him on a golf
course, even though he is limbless. Shown through a top-down view, this game
offers 18 courses. These can be played in a tournament with a scorecard where
you try to better your handicap, or you can practice them one by one. A
tutorial has been included to explain the game’s basics.
There is a procedure for each swing. First, you explore the course to see
where you are heading. Next, you choose one of the 13 golf clubs. They all
have a different strengths and some are specifically to be used to get out of
a bunker or past trees. While aiming, you have to take the direction and the
force of the wind into account, as shown in the top right corner. The force of
the hit is determined by pressing a button at the right time while a cursor is
hovering over the power bar, and you do the same to choose the desired effect.
Once you get on the green, a close-up is shown and only a single club is
available. At this point, you can still choose the direction, force and
effect, but you no longer have to consider the wind, only the slope. Some
courses allow for hole-in-ones.
