Using real-world fireteam roles, formations, and tactics based on the USMC, players are split between two factions: the Vanguard and the Sentinels. These two factions go head-to-head in one game mode called “Ground War” (zone capturing). While other games encourage you to grind towards unlocking bigger and better guns, we encourage you from the start to focus on how you can help your team.
For this reason, the max weapons we are looking to implement are 6: a carbine, LMG, and pistol (but with a unique look and feel for both factions, so it totals to 6). There’s no grinding to unlock more weapons, attachments, basic gear, etc. Everything will be unlocked from the start to maintain total fairness. We care more about balance than artificially extending the life of the game with unlocks or trying to sell you shit.
We are also keeping the ranking system very small and simple (6 ranks, highest rank is **Staff Sergeant** ). I’ve always thought it was silly to have 4 star generals running and gunning through a battlefield.
