Project Resurgene for PC is an episodic RPG and the first game developed by Nectar Game Studios.

### Plot

The game takes place in a world of Lumen, a place where dark fantasy meets steampunk. The campaign begins when the world slowly recovers from a grand cataclysm. Numerous TV series were the source of inspiration for the plot. Each episode of the game is a closed chapter of the story, with different characters, set in a different part of Lumen, and will give the players around twenty hours of gameplay. Every episode also has storylines that will push the main story foraward.

The authors place emphasis on the game’s plot and roleplaying elements. Lumen has a rich history, and discovering its secrets will ease the overcoming the game’s challenges. The players will have to make hard moral choices, and their effects will also influence the following episodes.

### Mechanics

The main source of inspiration for the developers of Project Resurgence for PC were the cRPG games from the second part of the 90’s. During the game, the players control a party of adventurers and have full control over its every member. There are two combat modes available – turn based or real time with pause. Beside the combat, players wil explore the game’s rich world, hold numerous conversations, and do quests given by the game’s NPCs. The system was created in such way that almost every quest can be finished without resorting to fighting.

The players can recruit many companions. Each and every of them has a unique personality and talents, and their attitude towards the player’s character will be based on his or her deeds. Like almost every game in the genre, Project Resurgence has the proper character progression and stats systems built in.
