Project Mario is a project that we decided to do based on our fandom for the amazing 2D platforming game known as “Mario”. We have made a version of Mario where the user can control the maps in the game itself. You can have an unlimited amount of maps in this verson, and it will come with two maps pre-built. The user can create more maps by starting up the “Mario Map Builder.jar” file, and selecting “New Level” or edit an old level as well.
The goal is simply to jump on as many Goombas as possible (to build up score), and get to the other side of the level, hit the item box, and proceed to the next level by collecting the red cube.
In order to install “Project Mario” you will need to install the latest Java runtime. After updating or installing the latest Java, you must download “Project Mario” by clicking the download button below. Then you must extract the .zip file, open the new folder created, and finally run “Project Mario.exe”.
