Prohibition 1930
The action of the game was set in Chicago in the 1930s. The main character, the incorruptible detective Wiiliam Hall, wants to crack down on the gangsters who had fingers in the murder of his family. The policeman declares war on the local mafia and tries to obtain evidence against its boss Vincent Parrizi.
The game refers to classic arcade shooters of the “rail shooter” type. (target sight). The player observes the action from the first person’s perspective, and his task is to point the weapon sight at successively appearing enemies before they can aim and shoot. The difficulty is that innocent civilians also appear on the screen and should not be killed.
The creators of the game took care of a large variety of scenery – from the railway station hall, through the interior of the residence and the hideout of whisky smugglers, to exciting night chases. Available weapons include many popular period weapons, including revolvers, semi-automatic pistols, rifles, and even the cult “tommy guna”.
The Prohibition 1930 visuals clearly point to the smartphone genesis of production (the game was also released on iPhone and iPad). Three-dimensional graphics in the game is maintained in cartoon style. Noteworthy are the cartoon feature interludes.
