Plasma Core is a simultaneous turn-based strategy game situated in a world filled with a powerful substance: The bioplasma. The world is also inhabbited by a huge variety of factions, and each faction share the same desire for controlling all the bioplasma they can.
The goal of the game is simple: You need to get as many Victory Points as possible before your opponents do it. Each map has a distinct target value depending on its size. To get this points, you need to perform actions to ensure your factions survival, like creating new bases, gathering bioplasma, defeating enemy units or conquering territory. Initially, the game features 3 factions: The **zombies** , the **robots** and the **dinosaurs**. Each faction has a distinct set of abilities and specialities to help you get those victory points.
Stay tuned for more info about the game! We will be releasing a lot more content in the next weeks. We are planning an open beta in about a week so we can properly test the game balance and get some feedback to fine tune the game.

## About:
### **What is this bioplasma you are talking about?**
Believed to be the source of life in the planet, this almost magical substance is produced in the core of the planet and it escapes to the atmosphere through cracks, springs and geysers. Each faction has a different relation with the plasma, but all of them share their interest for this glowing matter.
### **Zombies, Robots and Dinosaurs…why?**
We wanted the factions to be as distinct as possible, so we looked for different groups of creatures to put in the game. Initially, we also thought about the army, aliens and corporations. We would never have enough time to fully develop 6 factions, so we opted for the 3 we thought the coolest.
### **How far have you guys developed?**
Pretty far. Right now, we are putting together most of the pieces and finishing the art assets for the factions. The dinosaurs might take a while to surface, but the robots and zombies are fully playable and their assets are almost complete. Also, we are using the Player IO services for the multiplayer part. We also have the game connected to a Google Docs spreadsheet where we can script all of our maps, units, factions and more. We plan on posting about these features as soon as possible, so stick around π
### **I heard this is also a thesis game for the people developing it. Is that true?**
I don’t know where would you get that info but you are correct, sir! This game is being developed as our thesis project in the game design graduation course from Universidade Anhembi Morumbi (in Sao Paulo, Brazil). Even though we planned this as a one-year project, we are very glad with the way things are working out so we are probably going to support the game indefinitely as long as there is enough people playing the game.
