Oswald is a 2D side scrolling action-adventure platformer set in a surreal spooky underground world that challenges players to triumph over simple to intense platforming puzzles by swinging on a Needle and Thread that will bend and wrap around the environment. Oswald’s core gameplay is movement, you can climb up almost any wall, shoot the Needle and Thread into almost any surface to swing across giant chasms, and dash down steep corridors avoiding the various objects rushing towards you and crushing down on you. Keep on moving, never stop swinging, leaping, and climbing, or the evil shadows of the cave will overrun you!
Meet Oswald, our purple protagonist, the goofy little Voodoo doll who has found himself in a most unfortunate situation. He has awoken one night to find that everyone in the little underground Voodoo doll village he lives in, has been kidnapped, including his sister! The only Voodoo doll left in the town is the witch doctor Razzle. Turns out one night the evil spirits swooped into the town and stole everyone away, according to Razzle. And so the adventure begins! Using his trusty Needle and Thread, Oswald dives into the mysterious and treacherous depths of the Maldarian caves searching for his town’s people and his sister. Swinging over the bubbling lava rivers, discovering the lush bio-luminescent forests, using his Voodoo powers to blast away the evil spirits, and saving the people of his village. As he delves deeper though, it becomes clear that something much bigger and darker is behind all this bad fortune, but who, or what?
