Orbital Decay
Orbital Decay is a combination of side-scrolling space shooter and
defensive strategy. The story tells of a future empire of man spread across
the Universe, waging war with aliens, impossible to defeat. The Radiant Star
capital ship is sent in search of the World Destroyer , a weapon seen as
humanity’s only chance of winning the war, whilst facing waves of alien ships
and an unexpected story twist at the end.
The ship is flown by two AI entities, whose portraits and dialogues help
develop the story while playing. The player is in direct control of a huge gun
mounted on the ship. With the credits acquired after each kill, the player’s
ship can be fitted with weapons, the weapons’ various parameters can be
upgraded. There are also fighter-ship bays and a repair-drone bay on the
capital ship, that can be upgraded so that more fighter-ships and repair-
drones are produced that fight by the player’s side.
