nTrap is being powered by AGD-Software’s own Magrathea Simulation Engine and relies heavily on its physically-based capabilities. All objects, vehicles and weapons move according to the laws of physics, light energy falls off with the square of distance and jumps off walls infinitely, skylight changes according to the sun position, sea waves are caused by the wind blowing over the ocean surface, 3000 meters below the sea there is no sunlight whatsoever, a distant explosion can be as dangerous as the impact of a direct collision, a direct collision actually creates a deep hole in the ground, and everything that happens around you is perfectly intuitive as in the real world.
