No More Stumpie-Wumples
A chilling program than can more plainly be described as a “murder simulator”
than most that have enjoyed that sobriquet, No More Stumpie-Wumples casts
the player as some bored and psychopathic godling, free to summon Stumpie-
Wumples, cute little proto-men with careers and families, and subject them to
one of four mortifying ends: an acid bath, incineration by blowtorch, the
guillotine and mangling in factory gears.
Before you send them to their momentarily-distracting doom by dragging and
dropping with the mouse, the game gives you a short briefing on the everyday
life of your selected Stumpie-Wumple; after sealing their fate, it questions
your mental state.
Ex-Stumpie-Wumples are represented on-screen as skulls or discoloured versions
of their original selves, and, adding insult to injury, their remains can be
subjected to further indignities. When the slate of available Stumpie-Wumples
has been wiped clean, another course can be summoned with a mere left-click…
but really, if any of this appeals to you, no amount of it will satisfy.
