Nelson Piquet’s Grand Prix Evolution
It is the year 2100, and the sport of Grand Prix is faster than ever. The
latest version, Grand Prix Evolution, takes place on Earth, Moon, and various
other locations in the Solar System. Magnetic levitation and high-power
turbines push your vehicle to reach up to 1200 km/h. The courses still have
the turns, climbs and dives, even the occasional pitstops. Take one of the GPE
teams, and lead it to victory, using your winnings to upgrade your vehicles.
Can you win the GPE Championship?
GPE is a game in the vein of hyper-velocity racing, similar to Star Wars
Racer, Slipstream 5000, and so on. You “drive” these hovercrafts on these
magnetic tracks. The tracks are wide, but the side lanes have repeller fields
that slow you down. Only in the center can you accelerate. The trick is then
how to turn just enough to stay in the center and when to use the repeller
fields to slow down. The courses are varied in appearance and the locals are
quite imaginative, from the vistas of Earth to barren rocks of Moon, it’s all
here. The different teams have somewhat different vehicles. AI can be set to 6
different levels for variety of challenges. Multiplayer is supported.
