Bergrettungs-Simulator is a simulator of rescue missions, the action of which takes place in the highest parts of the mountain range of the Alps. Its release was taken care of by the German company Rondomedia, specializing in titles representing this genre.
The creators offer us a dozen or so different missions, in which we will face unfavorable weather conditions, at the same time trying to help the victims of accidents or people who have disappeared in the mountains. We carry out our activities in forests, on ski slopes or glaciers, trying to get rid of buried mountaineers or save lost tourists from freezing during the night.
In rescue operations we can use a number of equipment that will allow us to reach the injured even in hard to reach areas – among the tools we will find the most versatile rescue helicopter or snowmobiles and ATVs. Another invaluable support is a reliable Bernardine dog, able to easily find a man covered with snow.
An additional difficulty is the changeable aura – often the action will be carried out during snowstorms or gusty winds, and the speed of the search is also influenced by the time of day: the night escapade requires from the player to use much more equipment.
The visual design of this production is rather average and resembles a number of other similar games representing the simulator genre.
