In this simple game, players assume the role of cryptozoologists, exploring
top-down maps of various ecosystems environmental (desert, lake, forest),
supernatural (haunted house, infernal cave) and genre (sleepy suburban cul-de-
sac) in search of a complete collection of dozens of different monsters of
folklore and pop culture.

Capturing the monsters, which sometimes necessitates the acquisition of
specialised gear, is only the beginning; the game’s ultimate goal is the
breeding of all possible hybrid combinations of monsters (Q: what do you get
when you cross-breed a ghost with Godzilla? A: I don’t know, but I’m confident
this game will call it a “Ghostzilla”.) The monstrous mules resulting from
these unwholesome couplings are sterile, but fetch brisk prices on the
monster-collecting underground of rich weirdos. But play carefully, as
monsters are protected by law and unlicensed breeding operations are subject
to confiscation raids by local law enforcement.
