## Description
_MazeRace_ is one of a package of games produced by The Code Zone. Games from
this package were used, in various combinations, in around twenty different
game compilation products.
_MazeRace_ is a one or two-player, arcade, strategy game where the object is
to race through a maze and to reach the end before the opponent. The game is
played in a randomly generated maze, the default size is 20 x 20 but the
height and length can be adjusted un units of five to create a maze that
ranges from 5 x 5 through to 50 x 50.
The player and their opponent each control a mouse, Hector and Nestor
Cheeseman. The players start in opposite corners at the top of the maze.
Somewhere, usually along the bottom of the maze, is a piece of cheese and the
player’s objective is to guide their mouse to the cheese before their
opponent.
Also scattered around the maze are black and white spots, matching the colour
of the mouse. Running over a spot of their own colour causes their mouse to be
transported to a random point within the maze, while running over a spot of
the opponents colour causes their opponent to be relocated.
By default, controlled via the arrow keys but the action keys can be redefined
and joystick support is also available. It is played in a window which cannot
be re-sized and has in-game help screens which open in new windows.
