Mars Base Beta is a charming top-down RPG-style farming game following the journey of the first human explorers on Mars.
## About This Game
You are an aspiring young adventurer who has been selected to be part of the
first human explorers sent to Mars to setup Mars Base Beta at Erebus Montes.
You have been tasked with farming duties to help sustain the food demands of
the ever-expanding colony. In your spare time, you seek to explore the harsh
uncharted Martian landscape, uncovering secret paths, new resources and
history of the planet.
## Mars Base Beta
Mars Base Beta, your local town is established at Erebus Montes. The base is
filled with an underground market, food shops, blacksmiths, carpenters, tea
house, research labs, green houses, solar panels, home bases and much more. Be
sure to meet the locals, some will have tales to share, some will have quests
for you to conquer. Every 2 years the base will expand and grow as more
explorers arrive from Earth. This expansion will bring new challenges and add
more variety to the game.
## Farming Green house
Due to the toxicity of the Martian soil, you will need to extract and combine
the Martian soil with a fertiliser (human waste) to plant and sustain crops.
Soil and water is extracted from the soil using your handy vacuum or water
tool.
Crops will be grown in planter boxes that you place and join in almost
limitless combinations. Don’t forget people don’t want to just survive on
potatoes, so growing a variety of crops will be crucial for success.
As you advance, you will be able to utilise droids and automation systems to
help alleviate the daily grinds.
## Home Base
Your own tiny home on Mars, buy new furniture and decorate it to your hearts
content. Sleep is optional.
## Crafting
Surviving on Mars will require creative crafting solutions, you will be able
to craft a range of items, useful for your farming or adventures.
## Dungeons
In your down time, be sure to explore the dungeons for useful resources to
help further aid your journey but be careful of undiscovered horrors that
lurks within. Consuming the crops grown will give you temporary attribute
boost, and will make surviving the dungeons a bit easier.
## Open plains
The opposite of the enclosed dungeons, is the open plains of Mars. Explore the
land and seek valuable resources, aid in scientific research but avoid the
dangerous dust storms.
