Game Analysis | Mafia 3 is going to be a beautiful, visual treat. And consequently going to need a pretty powerful modern PC to run it. This shows with the recommended CPU requirement being a Core i7-3770 3.0GHz or FX-8350. The system memory requirement for top level Mafia 3 graphics is going to be at least 8GB coupled with a GTX 960 or AMD R9 280 with at least 2GB VRAM graphics card. This should let you run Mafia III at around 1080p with 40-60FPS on high graphics setting. Set in New Orleans 1968, Mafia III is a third-person action-adventure open world game, where you play as a Vietnam vet seeking revenge against the local mob, who murdered your friends.
High FPS | 59 FPS ( GTX 1060 )
Note | Windows 8.1 users may need additional Windows Update files.
Optimization Score | 2.6 |

Enjoyable
Return of Vito Scaletta
Many new gameplay elements
Pretty good graphic design
Not a Mafia game
Sometimes feels too easy (even on Hard difficulty)
To be completely honest, I was pleasantly suprised, when I recently finally convinced myself to play this game. After all those bad reviews and complaints by the fans, I expected a terrible game, but it turned out to be a pretty good and enjoyable game. BUT, let me say this. it is a good game, but it is not a good Mafia game. But once you “forget” that you’re playing a Mafia game, you will enjoy it.
I’ve been huge fan of Mafia since the first one. I bought it on release day and in my language (that is very very rare for me). I loved the first Mafia (played it multiple times – super rare for me) and enjoyed very much the second one (except the crap DLCs), so I was very excited about the third one.
I wasn’t that keen on in what time the story is going to be happening but still I was sure it’s going to be good. And it was. The story was good enough, the VO was very good (some characters were absolutely awesome). The graphic also was better then previous although it had kind of smuggy look but the graphic suit the atmosphere I would say.
I had one major problem with the game though – the lazy “do 50k damage”!! In my opinion it was very lazy. Yes, you could do that by doing what you “wanted” and it was nice that you actually knew how much you need to still do and it made sence, but I just found it very annoying because what basicly happened was – story->do 50k damage->story->do 100k damage->story etc. Why? Why the first didn’t need it? I found this as artifical prologing the game which didn’t need it. Yeah, do killing bosses, destroying stuff etc, but don’t do this especially when it is introduced with some random unknown person which you will never ever encounter again. This was my major complain about this game.
Other then that and some small stuff, I enjoyed it. Still have some secondary quests to finish. I mean, yeah, there were stuff which I didn’t like and tbh you can’t even compare the game to first nor the second one.
I am going between 6 and 7/10. (Fair – Good)
