This is a remake of two games: Langrisser (known as Warsong in USA) and its
sequel, Langrisser II – or, better to say, the enhanced version of this
sequel, known as Der Langrisser.

The remake features the Ultima-style character creation (you choose between
various answers to morally provoking questions) introduced in Der Langrisser
, and also offers branching storyline (you can be good or side with the evil
forces, if you wish).
