### Story

The action of the game is set in the twenty-first century cyberpunk world, in which mankind cannot survive without a drug called Liquid Evolution Drug (L.E.D. for short). The player takes control of the armed arm of one of the mega-corporations, and his task is to secure the production of the drug, as well as to defeat his rivals and take away from them the produced L.E.D. supplies.

### Mechanics

In terms of mechanics The L.E.D. Wars draws quite clearly from the achievements of classics of the genre, such as Dune 2: Battle for Arrakis. In each of the 14 missions of the campaign we receive at our disposal a more or less extensive base and a certain number of units, and our goal is usually to eliminate the opponent. To achieve this, we need to supply three basic raw materials, such as L.E.D., energy and oil, build more production and military buildings, and build units that will take care of the security of the base and eliminate rivals. Compared to the aforementioned Dune 2, other buildings can be erected anywhere on the map, which significantly facilitates the expansion of the base and the use of the L.E.D. deposits located away from it.

### Technical issues

The L.E.D. Wars action was shown in a classic view from above and was enriched with a slightly more colourful graphic design than the typical representatives of the genre. In addition to the single player campaign, the creators also envisaged the possibility of multi-player struggles, played using the DirectPlay protocol.
