Urban sprawl is a problem that affects all of us; extraneous real estate
development is a quality of life issue; it creates noise, pollutes, and
congests traffic. To counter it, some of us draw up neighbourhood petitions
and talk to our local government representatives. This game presents an
alternate approach.
The player controls a stickman samurai in a vacant lot who quickly discovers
that buildings are being dropped on him. Marshaling everything he has learned
from his Bushido credo, he jumps up to engage them in mid-air, flashing his
sword, and carves them to rubble, one floor at a time, through careful
observation of attack and defense energy gauges, noting the right moment to
launch into blistering combo attacks on the keyboard to really make that
drywall and re-bar fly. Should a building segment reach the ground intact it
pins him and he loses one of three heart units. When all three are gone his
score is tallied and he leaves the field to some future warrior more schooled
in the gentle art of incapacitating inanimate objects.
