## Description
This interactive movie told (is no longer available for play) a twisted tale
of adventure and abject failure set in the same rural backwoods that lent its
exotic menace to the film “Deliverance”. Gary, Srini and Jodi are three
somewhat clueless urban hipsters (also appearing in non-interactive TV
commercials as part of the same ad campaign) whose canny choice in vehicle
(DaimlerChrysler’s 2007 Jeep Patriot) nonetheless leaves them well-equipped
for an array of misadventures off the beaten path when Gary reveals an old
family treasure map around a campfire. The viewer is the team’s fourth member
and gets to make choices informing which dubious decision the foursome decide
to undertake next in pursuit of the hidden treasure.
The adventure contains 44 different sections and though a perfect play-through
can expose the player to as few as 10 of them, it is possible to arrive at the
“good” ending by a much more circuitous scenic route. Some exceptional
features of this interactive film include depicting a user-submitted profile
picture on an in-movie ID card and notifying an “emergency contact” upon
reaching an undesirable ending to challenge them to see if they can do any
better.
