Il-2 Sturmovik: Flying Circus – Volume I is another part of the well-known aeronautical simulator series. This production differs from previous games in that it is rooted in the realities of the First World War, not the Second World War. 777 Studios and 1C are responsible for the creation of this title.

### Story

The First World War (the Great War, as it was called at that time) took place between 1914-1918 between the so-called central states (otherwise known as the “Tripartite”, which included Austria-Hungary and Germany, with the support of Bulgaria and the Ottoman Empire) and entente (“Tripartite”, which consisted of Great Britain, Russia, France, Serbia, Italy, Japan and the United States). The conflict ended with the victory of the entente and claimed 14 million human lives.

### Mechanics

Il-2 Sturmovik: Flying Circus – Volume I The PC version is an advanced airborne simulator set in the realities of the First World War. Production enables battles to be fought in a faithfully reconstructed war theatre and offers a selection of planes known from the times of the conflict. The machines available in the game are: SPAD 13 C.1, Sopwith Dolphin, Sopwith Camel, RAF S.E.5a, Bristol Fighter, Albatros D.Va, Fokker Dr.1, Fokker DVII, Pfalz D.IIIa, Halberstadt CL.II

The game contains a large, 100 km2 map embedded in France. You will find here authentic, well-known from the history of the airport, town and village. The map also includes the so-called no-man’s-land, i.e. the area on the western front between the trenches of hostile armies of central states and the ententees. Far below us, on the ground, we will be able to see the land forces belonging to both sides.

This production has modes for both one and many players, and the latter also allows us to play in cooperation.

### Technical issues

Il-2 Sturmovik: Flying Circus – Volume I runs on the latest version of the Digital Warfare Engine, providing a realistic, not out of step with contemporary standards graphics.
