## Description

_Horse Haven: World Adventures_ is a social builder and management game based
on maintaining a horse ranch. It starts with cousin Amy who restores the farm
center of her aunt Carol in Montana and then gradually expands it. Using
coins, the basic currency, the player can start fields and construct a feed
mill, a market, fences, stables and so on. The focus in on breeding horses and
the player has to plant crops on the fields and harvest them to provide food.

Horses start as a small foal of a specific breed and with a rarity level
(mythic, elite, rare, special) attached to it. A horse can be customized with
a name and a custom look. When a horse is fed and groomed, it earns experience
and will level up, raising its value and providing more income through coins.
The game also offers a lot of little tasks that are rewarded with coins and
experience for the personal player level, unlocking new items, features,
buildings and breeds with each new level. Next to feeding, the player also has
to lay down the hay in the stables. When a horse is grown up and reaches a
certain level, it can be used for breeding to participate in steeplechases.
The management aspect is shown using the isometric-like view typical for the
genre, but horses inside the stable are shown separately and in 3D.

Steeplechases are races that take place all over the world. They are played as
a side-scrolling mini-game where a horse moves forward by itself. The player
only has to tap to make it jump over obstacles. Along the way coins can be
collected. The horse has a stamina meter represented through a heart when it
is empty the race is over. Optionally hearts can be collected along the way to
extend it. Breeding is another important part of the game. Different horse can
be used to crossbreed them, but it also possible to visit the ranches of
friends to help out with their work and to use one of their horses for
breeding. Breeding is based on a fortune wheel with percentages that represent
a chance to get a specific horse. Next to the US the game contains locations
in Asia, Australia and Europe.

The game is free-to-play with in-app purchases mainly for diamonds as the
premium currency. Diamonds can be used to skip waiting times and access many
game elements right away. Optionally coins can be earned by watching video
advertisements, next to collecting them in small amount from buildings that
provide an income in a small, but steady flow. There are also starter packs
that combine different elements.
