Heroes of Hellas
Zeus’ scepter has been stolen and must be recovered. With the help of the gods
and goddesses, solve puzzles to reach that goal.
Heroes Of Hellas is a “match 3” variant with a Greek mythology theme. Hex-
shaped alike tiles touching each other are removed by forming chains with
selection in a click-hold-drag action. The removal of five or more tiles is
rewarded with a gold coin at the end of the chain. Some puzzles have obstacles
that must be removed in the same manner such as ropes and stone “monolith”
tiles. Tiles containing coins (and other objects such as an hourglass) can be
used to connect like tiles for making additional chains. Each puzzle has a
time limit. If unsolved when time runs out, the player can elect to start that
puzzle again from the beginning. Some levels can be skipped if failure occurs.
Pause the game by clicking on the Menu button.
The powers of Greek gods and goddesses are unlocked and charged by matching
specific tiles. For instance, one will shuffle all tiles on the board while
another will remove or destroy tiles. Only three pre-selected deities are
available to help during any one puzzle. When each deity is initially
unlocked, an optional jigsaw puzzle mini-game can be solved resulting in a
“mosaic” which can be saved as desktop wallpaper. Their “myth” can be read
after unlocking resulting a small educational element.
Trophies are awarded for special feats such as a chain of fifteen or more
tiles or earning a large amount of gold. At the end of each stage, a portion
of a customized palace is constructed using portions selected by the player.
The palace completes when the game is solved, and the scepter is found. The
player then earns a place as a member of the Assembly of Heroes.
Heroes Of Hellas features three difficulty levels (Easy, Normal & Hard),
over ninety puzzle boards, visual and sound effects and an original musical
score. More than one player can play individually by typing in their name.
