Heavy Fire: The Chosen Few 3D is the first installment of a series of first person shooters from Teyon studio in Krakow, designed for users of the Nintendo 3DS portable console.
The plot of the game replicates the schemes known to the fans of the cycle. The player plays the role of a soldier of an elite military unit called The Chosen Few (a handful of chosen ones), to which the most dangerous tasks in different corners of the world are commissioned. The 13 missions of the main campaigns were interwoven with comic interludes depicting the adventures of branch members.
The game is based on solutions characteristic for arcade shooting of the “target sight” type. (rail shooter). The action is presented from the perspective of the first person, but in contrast to typical FPS, the player is not able to move the character, and only operates with the weapon sightseeing, pointing at the opponents. The arsenal available in the game includes 30 types of weaponry, including many models of pistols, rifles and rifles. In some missions there are also shooting sequences from a landing boat, helicopter deck and tank turrets.
The in-game control system uses the capabilities of the Nintendo 3DS console, including the touch screen of the device. During combat, the weapon sight can be directed at enemies, e.g. by using a stylus (feather).
Heavy Fire: The Chosen Few 3D is distinguished by a spectacular visual setting, generated with the use of a proprietary engine. Developers from Teyon Games made use of, among other things, the innovative three-dimensional console display.
